C Enterprises Story

He was born a fisherman in the bush of Marie-Galante in 1959. Raised on yams and fish, he learned the water before he learned roads. In 1975, at sixteen, he built his first boat from driftwood and an old truck engine. The crossing to Dominica took him six tries—reefs, currents, storms. But he found a route no one knew. For forty-seven years he kept to the waters around Marie-Galante. He died on April 21, 2022. I was twenty-eight. I had ten in my pocket and a thousand regrets. But the biggest thing he left me wasn't the route or the boat. It was a moment. A talk. A lesson. Son, he said, you see the life we're living, you see the way I'm working hard every day, you see the boat, you see the engine, this is not just like money that come from the floor. For me to get that, you work hard, you spend time, you spend night going in sea, you work really hard for you to get this. And he always told me, life is not a game, but dream, dream can come true. Dream can be reality. So, stay focused. What are you doing, but know what are you doing. C Enterprises is that lesson. C Enterprises is that dream becoming reality. That's why I'm doing this. Not for hype. Not for a quick buck. But for focus. For work. For legacy. For the only way I can tell him sorry.
